File the FAFSA application to apply for need-based aid such as federal and state grants, work study, and student loan eligibility. The 2024-2025 FAFSA is available for Spring 2025. However, the 2025-2026 FAFSA will not be available to file until December 2024. Indiana residents are advised to submit their FAFSA by April 15 for full consideration of state grant funds. UE's FAFSA code is 0001795. FAFSA results are based on financial data reported on taxes two years previous (e.g. the 2022-2023 FAFSA is based on 2020 taxes).

If you would like to calculate your estimated cost of attendance at UE, please utilize our cost calculator.

If you have already visited, great! If not, please contact us to arrange an in-person or virtual campus visit. You know UE is awesome but wait until you see it and meet the people who make it great! Take a moment to schedule a personalized visit for a day that works best for you or call us at 1-833-BeAnAce (1-833-232-6223).

Once admitted, you will have access to MyUE and the Student Self Service portal. Student Self Service houses many important functions. You can confirm your financial aid award, check your bill, register for classes (after your first semester at UE), and apply for housing and meal plans. We will send you a temporary password to login to MyUE/Student Self-Service a few days following your admission. See the Admitted Student Information page for next steps details and instructions for setting up your UE account to access MyUE and Student Self Service. For assistance or questions, please contact your admission counselor, Cherie Leonhardt, at CL29@cccbang.com or 812-488-2141.

To signify your intent to enroll, UE asks for you to submit a non-refundable admission deposit. You may submit your deposit online or by calling the Office of Admission at 1-833-BeAnAce (1-833-232-6223).

  • Transfer/Second Degree - $150 (for Spring 2025) or $300 (for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026)
  • Transfer Freshmen/Non-traditional Freshmen - $300
  • Re-Entry - $100

Once you submit your non-refundable admission deposit, an advisor from Academic Services will assist you with advising and registration. Soon after the semester begins, you will be assigned a faculty advisor from your chosen major who will assist with registration for subsequent semesters. For those students who do not have the opportunity to pre-register, advising and registration will occur during the SOAR Orientation program.

For those who want to reside in University housing, UE has many options, from traditional residence halls to apartments, town homes and houses. See UE's Residence Life webpage for details about UE housing options, residency requirements, move-in dates, meal plans, and more. Once your non-refundable admission deposit is received, you may apply for housing and meal plans through the MyUE/Student Self Service portal.

The Indiana Department of Health requires that the following immunization records be on file with the University Health Center for all full-time students:

  • MMR – two doses required
  • Tdap - within the past 10 years
  • Meningococcal - 21 years of age or younger, one dose on or after 16th birthday
  • TB skin test- within 12 months of start of semester

It is recommended that you have a physical and get your health information form completed by orientation (SOAR) to allow time for the Health Center to ensure that all required information is complete. Your physical examination form and immunization certificate must be on file before the first day of classes or your class registration may be cancelled. For questions, please see the Health Center webpage or call 812-488-2033.

SOAR: Student Orientation and Academic Registration (SOAR) is a comprehensive orientation designed for all new incoming students and their families.

SOAR covers information related to student engagement, academic expectations and preparedness, support systems, technology, financial aid, and where to find your information and your account, as well as a brief history of the campus and surrounding community. We encourage you to bring parents, spouses, or a significant other who will help support you as you complete your degree at UE.

SOAR Dates

UE provides further orientation and connection through Welcome Week for new students who plan to enroll in the Fall semester. Welcome Week takes place right before classes begin in August (dates to be announced). No additional registration is required at this time.

Once your non-refundable admission deposit is received, you may register to attend SOAR. Details can be found on the orientation webpage. If you have questions, please contact the Center for Student Engagement at 812-488-2371 or 800-423-8633, ext. 2371.

If you are currently enrolled in a college or university, please request a final official transcript once courses are complete so that we can award transfer credits. Official transcripts may be sent to admission@cccbang.com.
